Holly Lopez, 32, was charged Wednesday with aggravated sexual assault and with having an improper relationship between educator and student, the Austin (Texas) American-Texas reported.
Lopez, a teacher at Lexington Middle School in Lee County, is accused of having sex with an eighth-grade student and with his friend on Feb. 11, an arrest affidavit filed Wednesday in Travis County said.
Police said the two boys involved are 13 and 14 years old.
The affidavit said Lopez and one of the boys exchanged about 841 text messages between Jan. 18 and Feb. 11 and another 292 texts between Feb. 11 and Feb. 20.
The student told police Lopez regularly helped him with math, but as the school year progressed, the student-teacher relationship became inappropriate.
On the night of the incident, the student said Lopez came to his friend's house with condoms and had sex with both of them, the affidavit said.
Lopez's bail is set at $50,000 for each charge. She was not in custody as of Wednesday, the newspaper reported.
