ATHENS, Ga., March 8 (UPI) -- A jogger and a young girl were hurt and two cars damaged in Athens, Ga., in a shooting spree by a man armed with a high-powered BB gun, police said.
The second injury, to an 11-year-old girl, was only reported Tuesday, the Athens Banner-Herald said. A woman said her granddaughter was hurt as they crossed a street Sunday and had a welt on her back, but she did not realize what had happened until she heard about the other BB shootings Monday.
The victims all described the shooter as a passenger in a black sedan.
The first reported shooting occurred Saturday morning. A man driving a pickup said his window was broken after he noticed the gun pointing out the window of a black car.
A jogger was hurt Sunday afternoon, followed by the girl's shooting and, about an hour later, by a shot that broke the window of an SUV.
