Police remove Occupy Palm Beach protesters

March 5, 2012 at 9:46 AM   |   Comments

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla., March 5 (UPI) -- West Palm Beach, Fla., authorities began removing Occupy Palm Beach protesters from the old City Hall site, arresting one person, officials said.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office and West Palm Beach Fire Rescue unit assisted the city's police in the removal of the protesters, the Palm Beach Post reported.

City officials asked approximately 20 protesters to leave the old City Hall site last week. It was the third Occupy encampment since October.

But protesters remained so police posted a "No Trespassing" sign and served notice to the group to vacate the site.
