EL CERRITO, Calif., March 5 (UPI) -- A 4.0 magnitude earthquake shook the San Francisco Bay-area early Monday, officials said.

The quake happened at 5:33 a.m. and was centered near the Mira Vista Country Club in El Cerrito, The San Francisco Chronicle reported.

The quake, which had a depth of about 5.5 miles, gave early-morning Starbucks workers a pretty good jolt.

"It was a big shake in the store. Nothing fell," said one employee, adding, "It was another earthquake. We have earthquakes in California."

No injuries or damages were reported.
