At least 1 dead in fed building shooting

LONG BEACH, Calif., Feb. 16 (UPI) -- At least one person was killed and another was wounded Thursday in a shooting at a federal building in Long Beach, Calif., police said.

One of the two victims in the shooting at the Glenn M. Anderson Federal Building was a federal law enforcement officer, who was transported to St. Mary's Hospital in Long Beach, the Los Angeles Times reported. It was not immediately known which agency the shooting victim worked for, the newspaper said.

The federal building where the shooting took place houses customs and immigration offices, as well as other U.S. agencies.
