Indiana man pleads guilty to 5 murders

BROOKVILLE, Ind., Feb. 15 (UPI) -- An Indiana man has pleaded guilty to fatally shooting four members of a family and their neighbor during an apparent drug dispute.

David Ison, 46, of Glenwood, pleaded guilty to five counts of murder Tuesday in a Franklin County court in Brookville, the Richmond Palladium-Item reported.

Ison pleaded guilty in the Sept. 25 murders of four members of the Napier family -- Roy, 50, his estranged wife, Angela, 47, their daughter, Melissa, 23, and their son, Jacob 18, whose bodies were found in their mobile home near Metamora -- and the murder of their neighbor, Henry X. Smith, 43, killed outside their home.

Ison had allegedly argued over the price of oxycodone pills with Roy Napier, who had a prescription for the drug. An affidavit said Napier had raised the price from $10 to $12 per pill because his Medicaid had run out and no longer paid for the prescription.
