Feb. 6, 2012 at 10:44 PM

NEW YORK, Feb. 6 (UPI) -- Goldman Sachs Chief Executive Lloyd Blankfein joined the Americans for Marriage Equality movement with a video, released Monday, supporting same-sex marriage.

The 30-second presentation appears on YouTube and on the Human Rights Campaign Web site. Blankfein is the first major chief executive officer to offer his support to the cause with a video appearance, ABC News reported. His is the 12th in a series produced by HRC that has featured New York Giants' owner Steve Tisch and actor John Leguizamo, among others.

Goldman Sachs, an investment bank, has a non-discrimination policy that includes sexual orientation.

"Corporate America has long been a leading agent of change and progress for LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) equality," Joe Solomonese, president of the Human Rights Campaign, said in a statement. "Goldman Sachs and Lloyd Blankfein have made equality for LGBT people a top priority."
