Jan. 12, 2012 at 3:55 PM

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., Jan. 12 (UPI) -- Police arrested a man believed responsible for a meth lab explosion at a Daytona Beach hotel last week.

Sidney Jerome Kelsey, 29, was arrested Wednesday night and charged with arson and meth manufacturing, the Orlando Sentinel reported.

A judge issued two warrants for Kelsey's arrest after he was seen fleeing from a hotel room that exploded last Friday. Police found Kelsey after receiving a tip regarding his whereabouts.

Police said meth had been cooking on the stove in the hotel room when it exploded, Daytona Beach police spokesman Jimmie Flynt said.
