Police: Hells Angels fugitive in San Jose?

SAN JOSE, Calif., Dec. 18 (UPI) -- A member of the Hells Angels wanted for shooting a fellow biker at a funeral was apparently spotted in San Jose, Calif., this weekend, police said.

San Jose police said Steve Ruiz, 38, was seen in the city more than two months after the brazen slaying of fellow Angel Steve Tausan in front of a huge crowd at the funeral of the president of the Hells Angels' San Jose chapter.

No details of the sighting were released; however, the San Jose Mercury News said it was the first public update of the manhunt since the slaying.

The newspaper said police raided a home in the Stockton area where Ruiz was thought to be hiding, but he was not there.
