FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Dec. 2 (UPI) -- A Florida judge Friday sentenced an 81-year-old man to prison for posing as a doctor and offering free breast examinations for women at an apartment complex.
Phillip Winikoff, of Coconut Creek, pleaded no contest to charges he strolled through an apartment complex in Lauderdale Lakes with a black bag offering free exams to women who lived there.
Winikoff was given 13 months in prison as well as 15 years probation.
The South Florida Sun Sentinel said Winikoff was arrested in 2006 after he fondled the breasts of two residents and then began getting grabby with other areas of their bodies. Both women called police.
Winikoff was charged with sexual battery and practicing medicine without a license. The Sun Sentinel said he was looking at 55 years behind bars had he been convicted in a trial.
