CLAREMONT, Calif., Nov. 18 (UPI) -- Police say they're searching for a man who took money from ATM customers in three suburban Los Angeles communities.

The robberies were reported last month at ATMs operated by Chase and Bank of America in Rancho Cucamonga, Claremont and Diamond Bar, KTLA-TV, Los Angeles, reported Friday.

Claremont police said the same man is believed to have committed the three robberies because the victims all described him as wearing a blue and white checkered hooded sweatshirt.

In each case, the man walked up to an ATM customer and demanded money. He ran away after he was given cash, police said.
