Rare comic book goes missing

LINCOLN, Neb., Nov. 16 (UPI) -- A rare 1962 comic book featuring the first appearance of Spider Man has been discovered missing from a home in Lincoln, Neb., police said.

The collector's edition of "Amazing Fantasy No. 15," valued at $15,000, disappeared sometime between Oct. 27 and Nov. 14, the Lincoln (Neb.) Journal Star reported.

The owner told police several people have been in an out of his home since he last saw the comic book. He kept it with other comics.

A mint copy of Amazing Fantasy No. 15 was sold to an unnamed buyer in May for $1.1 million.
