LANCASTER, Calif., Nov. 16 (UPI) -- Animal control officials in Southern California say they've captured three pit bulls that slaughtered 42 goats on a farm near Lake Los Angeles.
Aaron Reyes, deputy director of the Los Angeles County Department of Animal Care and Control, said the dogs were captured Monday night, The Los Angeles Times reported Wednesday

A fourth pit bull remained at large.
Reyes said it appeared the attack on 42 goats in a farm corral was related to pack mentality. "They just fed off one another's energy and mischievous behavior," he told the newspaper.
The captured dogs had no identifying tags.
