WEYMOUTH, Mass., Nov. 15 (UPI) -- Massachusetts prosecutors say a teenager used a hammer and knives to allegedly butcher his sister, his mother and her boyfriend in the family's Weymouth home.
A not guilty plea was entered in Quincy District Court Monday on behalf of Donald Rudolph, 18, charged in the killings of Caylin Rudolph, 24; their mother, Paula Rudolph, 50; and her boyfriend, Frederick Medina, 52, the Boston Herald reported.
His attorney, John Darrell, said Rudolph had a "long, long history of mental illness" and no memory of the attack.
Officers arriving at the Weymouth home Thursday evening saw Rudolph "tiptoeing around from room to room" in the basement and then crawling out a window with blood on his hands, Assistant District Attorney Craig Kowalski said.
Police said they found a bloody hammer and knife on the kitchen table, and Medina's body in the living room.
The bodies of Rudolph's mother and sister were found in the garage, police said.
