RIVERSIDE, Calif., Nov. 4 (UPI) -- A 10-month-old dog dragged through a neighborhood by a pickup truck is bandaged and recovering from its injuries, authorities in Riverside, Calif., said.
The white dog suffered injuries on all four paws, Krista Stewart at the Riverside County Department of Animal Services said in a Los Angeles Times report.
"The paws were pretty bloody and there were a lot of sores," she said.
It was unclear how long the truck dragged the dog,
A witness had called 911 Wednesday after seeing that the dog was tied to the truck and being dragged.
Authorities said they were seeking information about the driver of the truck who stopped and untied the dog before leaving the neighborhood.
