Man held in Las Vegas robberies of 2 women

LAS VEGAS, Sept. 23 (UPI) -- Las Vegas police said they arrested a man in the robberies of two women in their 70s outside of casinos.

Tyler Skochenko, 23, was arrested Wednesday night on charges of robbery of a victim over 65 years old, battery with intent to commit robbery and battery with substantial bodily harm, the Las Vegas Sun reported.

Skochenko matched witness' descriptions, police said.

Skochenko was accused of shoving a 70-year-old woman from behind and taking a necklace and stealing a purse from a 79-year-old woman, pushing her to the ground and injuring her hip.
