UNITED NATIONS, Sept. 20 (UPI) -- President Obama is in New York Tuesday, meeting other world leaders ahead of the opening of the U.N. General Session, the White House said.

The daily schedule indicates Obama will:

-- Meet with Libya's Transitional National Council Chairman Mustafa Abdel Jalil then attend a Libya Contact Group meeting.

-- Conduct a bilateral meeting with Afghan President Hamid Karzai.

-- Meet with President Dilma Rousseff of Brazil.

-- Join other leaders attending the Open Government Partnership Event.

-- Attend a bilateral meeting with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

-- Attend a Democratic National Committee event with first lady Michelle Obama.
