SACRAMENTO, Sept. 19 (UPI) -- Police in Sacramento, Calif., say they've arrested a man suspected of a carjacking that left a woman dead and of shooting and wounding a man at a gas station.

Paul Ray Castillo, 33, suspected in the killing of a Campbell woman in the carjacking and of shooting of a San Jose man, was captured without incident by Sacramento officers Sunday night following a three-day manhunt.

"Details are sketchy, but he is in custody," San Jose Police Chief Chris Moore told the San Jose Mercury News.

Castillo, a parolee from San Jose, is believed to have wounded one man at a Willow Glen gas station and later allegedly kidnapped and killed Cindy Nguyen, a popular local Vietnamese-American radio host, the newspaper reported.

Police said they believe Castillo kidnapped Nguyen, who was also a real estate agent, at a shopping center in San Jose about noon Friday.

Nguyen's body was discovered Saturday morning at a house in San Jose.

Earlier Friday morning a 42-year-old San Jose man was shot in the abdomen while pumping gas at a service station.

Police have not released his identity but said his injures were not life-threatening.
