OAKDALE, Minn., Sept. 16 (UPI) -- Police in Oakdale, Minn., said they won't look for a suspect in the deaths of a couple and a babysitter whose bodies were found by a 6-year-old girl.
Police department spokesman Michelle Stark said there was no threat to public safety related to the slayings the child's parents and live-in childcare provider whose bodies were found Thursday when the girl returned home from school, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reported Friday.
Relatives identified the victims as Cynthia Ornelas, 28; Jaime Vasquez, 38; and Angela Uscanga, 43.
Police haven't released the cause of deaths pending results from the Ramsey County medical examiner's office. The history of 911 calls from the home also is being investigated, Stark said.
Brady Hartman, a teenager who lives near the crime scene, said he was outside when he saw the girl run out of the house crying and screaming, "Mommy, daddy dead. Mommy, daddy dead."
His mother, Julie Hartman, told the Tribune she called emergency services and tried to console the little girl.
"She touched her mom" and had blood on her hands, Hartman said. "[She] kept saying, 'Where am I going to live? Where am I going to live?' I'm never going to see my mom and dad again. Can I come over to your house?"
The girl and her two brothers, ages 3 and 8, were with relatives, Stark said. The younger brother was in the home at the time of the deaths and the older brother hadn't gone inside the house after getting off the bus.
