MAUMELLE, Ark., Sept. 7 (UPI) -- Authorities said Tuesday they were investigating how a Little Rock, Ark., TV weatherman wound up asleep in a bathtub with a naked dead man.

Homeowner John Barbour of Maumelle told police he awoke to snoring Monday and found KARK-TV meteorologist Brett Cummins, 33, sleeping in a dry bathtub alongside the body of Dexter Paul Williams, 24, of Mountain Pine, ArkansasNews.com reported.

Police said Tuesday afternoon no charges had been filed in the death of Williams, who had a chain described as a "dog collar" around his neck when found, the news Web site said.

Barbour allegedly told police the three men had been drinking and using illegal drugs the night before. He called Cummins his best friend and said Cummins had brought Williams along when invited over.

"After Brett awoke they discovered that Dexter was not conscious and his face was a different color," a police report stated. "He then explained that Brett screamed and became ill, and left the bathroom and vomited on the carpet in the living room."

Police said the weatherman was not at the scene when officers arrived but returned shortly after to give a statement.

Maumelle police officer Greg Roussie wrote in his report that he saw a "naked white male lying on the floor of the tub" with a chain around his neck that he "believed to be a dog collar."
