Pa. police: Woman admits dropping child

NEW BRIGHTON, Pa., Aug. 26 (UPI) -- An Ohio woman told authorities she dropped a 2-year-old girl from a second-story window in Pennsylvania, court documents indicate.

Terra Hill, 27, of East Liverpool, Ohio, faced assault and other charges Friday after the girl, Alivae Mosconi, was rushed to a Pittsburgh hospital in critical condition with a head injury.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette said that according to the complaint filed in Beaver County, Hill at first said the child had fallen accidentally. She later conceded she had held the little girl out of the apartment window to "teach her a lesson" and had dropped her 21 feet to the ground.

Hill's relationship to the injured child was unclear. She was, however, the only adult present when the fall occurred.

Hill was being held at the Beaver County jail, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review said.
