Report: Husband suspect in wife's killing

MORRISTOWN, N.J., Aug. 18 (UPI) -- A man who was shot four times and survived was being questioned about his wife's killing in New Jersey with a single shot to the heart, a police source said.

The source told the New York Post that Kashish Pervaiz's wounds were all "superficial." Pervaiz and his wife, Nazish Noorani, were with their 3-year-old son, who was not hurt, when they were set on Tuesday evening by three men in Boonton, N.J.

The investigator said the pattern of injuries suggested Pervaiz set up the attack: "Why else would that be?"

Narvaiz, 26, was born in Karachi, Pakistan, and moved to Boonton with her family when she was in her teens. Pervaiz is a native of Brooklyn.

The couple moved to Boston at some point after their marriage six years ago. A neighbor there told The Star-Ledger of Newark, N.J., they had separated.

"He was divorced, or getting divorced," Raul Santamaria said, adding he saw Pervaiz about two weeks ago with another woman.
