Assistant State's Attorney Maureen O'Brien said the elder Bickham, through his son, hired Taylor to kill Alexander. Investigators said she had been pressuring him to divorce his wife so they could marry.

Prosecutors said Bickham was to pay Taylor $400 for killing Alexander, 29. and the younger Bickham and Taylor allegedly confessed.

Investigators said Bickham lured Alexander to a River Forest parking lot about 10 p.m. Monday, ostensibly to talk about their relationship. Another car pulled up and a gunman got out and shot Alexander three times. Prosecutors identified the gunman as Taylor and Bickham's son as the car's driver.
