Lawyer set to 'grill' Casey Anthony

ORLANDO, Fla., July 14 (UPI) -- Lawyers for a Florida woman suing Casey Anthony say they'll ask hard questions of Anthony, acquitted of killing her daughter, because "America wants justice."

Zenaida Gonzalez-Fernandez of Kissimmee is suing Anthony for defamation for using her name when she told Orlando police her 2-year-old daughter Caylee was stolen by a babysitter, ABC News reported Thursday.

Anthony maintained that lie for three years until the defense at her trial presented the argument that Caylee drowned in the family swimming pool and said the purported babysitter never existed.

A lawyer for Gonzalez-Fernandez said he intends to demonstrate the hardship Anthony allegedly caused his client, a 42-year-old mother of six, and he also intends to interrogate Anthony about Caylee's death.

"The first question I'm going to ask her is, 'Tell us the last time you saw Caylee.'" Attorney John Morgan told ABCNews.com. "The second is, 'Tell us when you found out she was dead.'"

He dismissed anticipated objections that such questions are not relevant to Gonzalez-Fernandez's legal action.

"Everything about the death of the child is not only relevant, it's very relevant," Morgan said. "It's the essence of the case."

Morgan said believes he is acting for people across the country shocked and outraged by Anthony's acquittal.

"America wants justice. They want to make [Anthony] sit down and tell them what happened," Morgan said.

Gonzalez-Fernandez's lawyers filed an emergency motion Thursday asking a judge to compel Anthony to appear for a deposition, citing reports Anthony would leave the area on her release from jail, the Orlando Sentinel reported.
