ANCHORAGE, Alaska, July 12 (UPI) -- Alaskans will have to wait to see a new documentary about their former governor, at least in a theater.

"The Undefeated," a tribute to Sarah Palin by conservative filmmaker Stephen Bannon, premiered June 28 at the Pella Opera House in Pella, Iowa. It opens Friday in Dallas, Denver, Oklahoma City, Orlando, Fla., Atlanta, Orange County in California, Phoenix, Houston, Indianapolis and Kansas City, the Anchorage Daily News reported.

The cities appear to have been selected because they are conservative strongholds where Palin has a lot of fans. Alaska may be conservative, but a recent poll showed President Obama would beat Palin in the state.

Dana Mirman, a spokeswoman for Victory Film Group, which produced the movie, said "The Undefeated" will open in Alaska at some point.

Alaskans who want a speedier look at the film can get a DVD if they make contributions of at least $100 to Palin's political action committee, SarahPAC. They can also go see "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2," which opens Friday.
