Arcade owner gets 290 years for kid porn

ST. LOUIS, July 7 (UPI) -- The owner of a St. Louis-area video arcade has been sentenced to 290 years in federal prison for molesting and photographing children during all-night sessions.

Leland Beasley, 43, owner of Gamestation Section 19 in Lemay, Mo., was convicted in April of production of child pornography and attempted production of child pornography, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported. Jurors saw videos made during all-night "lock-ins" at the store after boys had fallen asleep.

"You took advantage of the vulnerability of a lot of children," U.S. District Judge Carol Jackson told Beasley at Tuesday's sentencing. "You pursued these children insidiously and relentlessly."

Beasley still faces state charges in St. Louis.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Robert Livergood said Beasley showed no remorse for his actions, which included molesting at least 10 children.
