LOS ANGELES, June 17 (UPI) -- A man impersonated a policeman and told girls to put tracking devices in their bras, Los Angeles authorities say.

Joseph Reyes Rogero, 24, of Van Nuys was charged Thursday with 18 felony counts, including lewd acts on a child, kidnapping and impersonating a public officer, the district attorney's office told the Los Angeles Times.

Police said Rogero flashed a fake police badge and approached the girls, ages 12 to 15, near Ernest Lawrence Middle School in Chatsworth.

Rogero, a fighter and trainer at the M-1 Global gym in Chatsworth, is being held in lieu of $5.5 million bail. Police say he may have more victims.
