Nearly 300 firefighters battle blaze

CORONA, Calif., June 3 (UPI) -- A fire in Riverside County, Calif., has burned about 160 acres in a canyon near the Trilogy Golf Course near Corona, firefighters said.

The blaze was about 50 percent contained Thursday evening, the Riverside County Fire Department said in a Los Angeles Times report.

Nearly 300 firefighters, assisted by water-dropping helicopters, battled the blaze. Four aerial tankers assisted ground crews.

No injuries were reported and investigators were trying to determine the cause of the fire.
