ATLANTA, May 31 (UPI) -- Rescuers searched mountains in North Georgia Tuesday for a small plane reported missing with four people aboard, the Federal Aviation Administration said.

The single-engine Beechcraft Bonanza departed the Gilmer County Airport 80 miles north of Atlanta for a sightseeing trip Monday and failed to return as expected, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

FAA spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen said the light plane had no contact with air controllers.
