Prodigy, 21, about to become doctor
HOUSTON, May 22 (UPI) -- Two U.S. astronauts finished an 8-hour operation outside the International Space Station Sunday, the sixth-longest spacewalk ever, NASA said.
Drew Feustel and Mike Fincke completed the 8-hour, 7-minute walk at 9:12 a.m. Houston time, the agency said.
Their tasks, all completed, included refilling a cooling loop with ammonia and lubricating a joint on a solar power device that tracks the sun.
The astronauts also installed a camera cover on Dextre (the Special Purpose Dexterous Manipulator), one of the station's robotic arms, and lubricated one of the robot's hands.
Also Sunday, Russian cosmonaut Dmitry Kondratyev handed over command of the International Space Station to Andrey Borisenko. Italian Paolo Nespoli and American Cady Coleman are to return to Earth Monday.
