LAS VEGAS, April 29 (UPI) -- Real estate mogul Donald Trump said in Las Vegas elected officials in the United States are "stupid" and America's leadership is "incompetent."
Trump was in Las Vegas to attend a wedding, but he took time to address reporters, calling America's leadership "weak, pathetic and incompetent" in a 40-minute speech at Treasure Island, the Las Vegas Sun reported.
When a woman in the audience told the unannounced Republican presidential candidate to run for president, Trump said, "Thank you darling. I think I'm going to make you very happy."
Trump, the star of his own television program, "Celebrity Apprentice," also blasted Congress and President Obama for making bad deals with China.
"When people are screwing you, you don't give them state dinners," Trump said, suggesting McDonald's instead.
Trump said the United States should profit from its wars in oil-rich countries.
"When we have a war, we lose thousands of lives, we spend trillions of dollars and then we leave," he said. "I say we go in and take their oil."
Trump, who said he would decide if he is going to seek the presidency by June, also took credit for pushing the president to release his birth certificate.
"I accomplished something that nobody else had accomplished," Trump said.
