Coast Guard returns 13 migrants to Cuba

MIAMI, April 25 (UPI) -- U.S. Coast Guard crews repatriated 13 Cubans spotted in two boats off the South Florida coast back to Bahia de Cabanas, authorities said.

The Coast Guard received a call last week of six migrants seen aboard a vessel near Baker's Haulover Inlet in Miami, and seven more were seen near Marquesas Key the say day, The Miami Herald reported Monday.

After determining the migrants were Cuban, they were taken on board two Coast Guard vessels, the newspaper said.

The migrants were provided with food, water and basic medical attention before being repatriated, authorities said.
