WORCESTER, Mass., April 3 (UPI) -- One Massachusetts man was killed and another seriously injured when they fell out of a bus returning from a tour of a New Hampshire brewery, authorities said.

State police said Thomas Johnson of Gardner and Seth Davis of Winchendon fell out a bathroom window on a Colonial Tours bus Saturday night returning from a tour of the Red Hook Brewery in Portsmouth, N.H., the Telegram & Gazette of Worcester, Mass., reported.

Johnson died at the scene and Davis was transported to the University of Massachusetts Memorial Medical Center in Worcester in critical condition.

Massachusetts State Trooper Michael Mayer said he was in the area of Route 2 when he saw the two men lying on the shoulder of the highway. Mayer called for backup and an ambulance, while the bus driver called in the incident at the same time, the newspaper said.

Police did not say how the men fell out of the window but said they believe alcohol was a contributing factor.
