ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., March 30 (UPI) -- A Florida man allegedly sold his parents' mobile home for $100 after forcing his mother off the property while his father was in custody, police said.

Christopher D. Wilson, 25, of Shady Hills, was arrested Monday and charged with grand theft, the St. Petersburg Times reported.

Police said Wilson and his girlfriend were living with his parents in a mobile home in Shady Hills when Wilson's father, David Wilson, was accused of pushing his son's girlfriend and was arrested Jan. 4 on a charge of domestic battery.

The 62-year-old has denied the charge. "I didn't lay a hand on her," David Wilson said.

With the father in custody, the son forced his mother off the property, authorities said.

Police said Christopher Wilson then allegedly sold the 1978 mobile home, worth more than $1,000, for $100 and also allegedly sold his parents' jewelry, computers, cameras, air compressor and tools.

"While I was in jail, they tore my house all to pieces," David Wilson said. "They threatened my wife. Stole my two boats, all my tools, motor home."

Sheriff's spokesman Kevin Doll said the case is still under investigation with possible additional suspects, the Times reported.
