LOS ANGELES, March 25 (UPI) -- A female crew member of the Disney "Wonder" cruise ship that left the port of Los Angeles on a seven-day trip to Mexico is missing, officials said.
Investigators said the woman failed to show up for her on-board shift Tuesday and she hasn't been heard from since, KNBC-TV, Los Angeles, said Friday.
The ship left Los Angeles Sunday and officials said they don't know if she fell overboard or is still on the ship, which holds 2,700 passengers and a crew of 950.
The ship had yet to make its first scheduled stop in Mexico when her absence was noted.
Disney said the Mexican navy has conducted searches since Tuesday and the company has notified the FBI and the Bahamian Maritime Authority about the woman's disappearance.
