WASHINGTON, March 11 (UPI) -- U.S. Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, denied Friday reports he has been talking to MSNBC host Joe Scarborough about a potential Senate run in Florida.
Cornyn, head of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, used his Twitter account Friday to say a story in The Hill "is wrong" in suggesting he spoke to Scarborough about a potential 2012 run against Sen. Bill Nelson, D-Fla., saying he instead spoke to the MSNBC host and former member of the U.S. House of Representatives about a potential Senate run in New York, The Hill reported.
