WATKINSVILLE, Ga., March 2 (UPI) -- A Georgia couple has admitted prostituting their 14-year-old daughter to make payments on their minivan, court records show.
Sandra Davis, 37, of Dodge County, Ga., pleaded guilty to child molestation Monday and was sentenced to eight years in prison and 12 years' probation, Oconee Circuit District Attorney Timothy Vaughn told The Macon Telegraph.
The mother did not abuse the girl herself but admitted letting a used car dealer have sex with her in exchange for the van payments, he said.
The girl's father, James Davis, 39, and Robert Bearden, 67, pleaded guilty to molestation and were sentenced to 10 years in prison and 10 years' probation, Vaughn said.
Sheriff's investigators say the Davises made their daughter perform "sexual favors" for Bearden, manager of a used car dealership, in lieu of the $281 monthly payments on their 1998 Dodge Caravan.
The girl, now 16, is now in "a good home environment" under state supervision, Vaughn said.
The parents and Bearden also are barred from all contact with the victim for 20 years.
