Obama to present Medal of Freedom to 15

WASHINGTON, Feb. 15 (UPI) -- U.S. President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama honor 15 recipients of the 2010 Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian award, the White House said.

The recipients include athletes, rights activists, and diplomats and politicians, the daily schedule indicated.

In the morning, Obama and Vice President Joe Biden will receive the daily briefing. They also will meet for lunch.

After the Medal of Freedom presentation, Obama and Biden will meet with Defense Secretary Robert Gates.
