Guilty verdict in shooting for 'fat' tease

JOLIET, Ill., Feb. 1 (UPI) -- An Illinois man has been found guilty of murder for shooting another man after the victim said the man's pregnant girlfriend looked fat in a photograph.

Tyrone Henderson, 31, of Joliet, was convicted Monday of shooting Michael Amos, 21, in August 2009, the Chicago Tribune reported.

Amos had teased Henderson's girlfriend about the photograph, and after she called Henderson he went to Amos' home, the newspaper said.

Henderson punched the victim's brother which led to a brawl inside the house during which Henderson shot Amos three times as others tried to take the gun away from him

Amos was struck in the shoulder, the stomach and once in the leg and died at Loyola Medical Center in Maywood the next day.

Henderson was also found guilty of criminal trespass to a residence, home invasion, unlawful use of a weapon by a felon and personally discharging a firearm causing death, The (Joliet, Ill.) Herald-News reported.

Henderson faces a sentence of 45 years to life in prison when he is sentenced April 5.
