Boy being disciplined for derogatory list

OAK PARK, Ill., Jan. 18 (UPI) -- A boy is being disciplined for circulating on Facebook and in flyers a list describing girls at his Illinois high school in derogatory terms, officials said.

The list included descriptions of the bodies of a number of girls at Oak Park River Forest High School in Oak Park, their alleged sexual activities and other information, the Chicago Tribune and the suburban Chicago Pioneer Press reported Monday.

The student suspected of creating the list will be suspended from school this week as part of the school's disciplinary measures. Further investigation may indicate more disciplinary action against the student is warranted or whether other students were involved, said Kay Foran, a school spokeswoman.

Discipline for bullying, inappropriate use of technology and cyberbullying can include expulsion from the school, the newspapers said.

Oak Park police have begun investigations that may last 10 days and result in criminal charges, the newspapers reported.

"A good majority (of the girls on the list) are athletic, beautiful, honors students, talented," a female student said.
