Airport 'strip act' leads to arrest

RICHMOND, Va., Dec. 31 (UPI) -- A college student who stripped to his underwear at a Virginia airport revealing language of the Fourth Amendment was cited for disorderly conduct, police said.

Aaron B. Tobey, 21, of Charlottesville, Va., arrived at Richmond International Airport's busy Checkpoint B around 2:17 p.m. Thursday and stripped off his clothes, airport spokesman Troy M. Bell said.

The Richmond (Va.) Times-Dispatch reported Friday by the time police arrived at the checkpoint they found the student at the University of Cincinnati "absent of pants and shirt in full public view, exposing language regarding the Fourth Amendment written on his chest and abdomen with marker or crayon:

"Amendment 4: The right of the people to be secure against unreasonable searches and seizures shall not be violated," Bell said Tobey's body read.

Tobey was interviewed by airport police and federal authorities, who issued a citation for disorderly conduct before releasing him. He is scheduled for arraignment Jan. 10 in Henrico County General District Court, the newspaper said.
