MONTROSE, Calif., Dec. 24 (UPI) -- Police in California said they arrested five men accused of cultivating $200,000 worth of marijuana inside a home, a clothing store and a travel agency.
Montrose police Sgt. Tom Lorenz said 381 marijuana plants were found at a Montrose building containing the Blue Seas travel agency and the Fast Fashion high-end clothing store, the Glendale (Calif.) News Press reported Friday.
"All you have to do is walk up to the front of the building and smell the marijuana," he said.
He said 40 more plants, along with a handgun, an undisclosed amount of cash and a detailed ledger of the operation, were found at the apartment of Mike Boyadjian, 32.
Boyadjian was arrested alongside alleged accomplices Shibu Koshy, 32, Aris Nersessian, 32, David Davitian, 26, and Michael Degirmendjian, 22.
The men were arrested on suspicion of marijuana cultivation and sales. They were each jailed in lieu of $30,000 bail.
