Computer monitor closes airport terminal

NEWARK, N.J., Dec. 20 (UPI) -- A terminal at Newark (N.J.) Liberty International Airport reopened Monday after a suspicious package was found to contain a computer monitor, the FBI said.

Special Agent Bryan Travers said the monitor usually emits small amounts of radiation and the public wasn't in danger, The (Newark) Star-Ledger reported.

The Union County Bomb Squad examined the package and determined it posed no threat, Travers said. The monitor was being flown to the same destination as its owner, who was en route.
