University students face porn charges

HARTFORD, Conn., Dec. 9 (UPI) -- Investigators say two University of Connecticut students face charges of possession and distribution of child pornography.

Named in the cases are Gregory J. McKee, 18, and Steven D. Lewis, 21, The Hartford (Conn.) Courant reported.

Investigators said aside from being students at the university, there was no connection between the cases.

State police arrested McKee, a Chicago resident, Tuesday on charges of promoting a minor in an obscene performance, importing child pornography and obscenity. He was ordered held on $75,000 bond.

Lewis of Plainville, Conn., was arrested Wednesday by the FBI's Connecticut Computer Crimes Task Force. He faces federal charges of possession of child pornography, and receipt and distribution of child pornography. He was released after posting $100,000 bail.

The videos lasted up to 2 minutes, 40 seconds and showed children state police estimated to be 8 to 15 years old engaged in sex.
