SANFORD, Fla., Nov. 9 (UPI) -- Criminal charges were dropped against a Florida man whom many considered a hero on behalf of his disabled daughter and who must now perform community service.

James Willie Jones, 42, of Sanford was ordered Monday to pay approximately $1,000 in costs, serve six months of probation, do 10 hours of community service, and take anger management and victim awareness classes for having boarded a bus, threatening to kill the driver and using profanity to chew out children he accused of bullying his daughter who has cerebral palsy, the Orlando Sentinel reported.
