The Washington Post said police and FBI investigators were trying to determine whether the shooting was related to a recent series of shots fired at U.S. Marine facilities.

Sgt. Kim Chinn of the Prince William County Police Department said the shooting apparently occurred overnight, WUSA reported.

Police received no reports of injuries.

Shots were fired at the National Museum of the Marine Corps in Quantico, Va., Thursday and Friday, officials said. Both incidents occurred when the museum was closed.

A Marine Corps recruiting station in Virginia was also fired on late Monday or early Tuesday, officials said.
