PALM BEACH, Fla., Oct. 15 (UPI) -- U.S. marshals said Friday they sold jailed Ponzi schemer Bernard Madoff's Palm Beach, Fla., estate for $5.65 million.
The marshals declined to identify the buyers, a California couple who beat out other bidders with an offer 34 percent below the original asking price of $8.49 million, The Wall Street Journal reported.
