ORLANDO, Fla., Sept. 30 (UPI) -- U.S. Rep. Alan Grayson, D-Fla., calls Sarah Palin a "half-baked Alaskan" in a response to her endorsement of his Republican challenger.

In a fundraising message released Thursday, Grayson also called the former Alaska governor "her Tweetness," Politico reported. Palin backed Daniel Webster in a Twitter message.

"What is it about Sarah Palin and Twitter?" Grayson wrote. "Is Palin fond of tweeting because she can draft a tweet on her palm? Is it that 140 characters represents the maximum length of Sarah Palin's attention span?"

Grayson, who ousted a Republican incumbent two years ago, is seeking a second term in his Orlando-area district. He has raised $3.7 million in campaign funds, more than 10 times what Webster has taken in.

Webster is a longtime state legislator and former speaker of the Florida House of Representatives.
