The Final Call ran photographs of Ahmadinejad, Farrakhan and other Iranian officials and NOI leaders in a banquet room at the Warwick Hotel, but did not say anything about the topics discussed during the dinner get-together last Tuesday. The New York Post reported members of the New Black Panther Party were also present.
Ahmadinejad spent six days in the city for the U.N. General Assembly meeting, staying at the Hilton Manhattan East. He made no public appearances except at the United Nations and exited and entered the hotel through an employee entrance, where a tent shielded him during the short walk to his car, the Post said.
The newspaper also described a fracas in the lobby Thursday night that began when Sudanese diplomats there to talk to Ahmadinejad got into a dispute with security. Ahmadinejad's personal security detail, which had a command post in the lobby, then objected to the presence of a woman who was sitting at a table with a drink.
The report said the woman yelled at the group: "You stoned my sister -- you're murderers."
