LOS ANGELES, Sept. 11 (UPI) -- Los Angeles police say they will see if they can track the recent deliveries made to a recycling facility where a body in a plastic bag was discovered.

The corpse was badly decomposed but appeared to be that of a young woman, police reported.

The Los Angeles Times said Saturday that body was found at a private recycling yard in the city's Chinatown district between downtown and Dodger Stadium Friday afternoon.

The identity of the victim remained a mystery early Saturday and the cause of death was not known.
